In my opinion you can get banned for using texture mods because IGP11 or GeDoSaTo hooks the game's memory and tells the game to load third party textures, I don't think you get banned because the system checks. For what I know, their system check the character's memory (inventory, stats etc.), as long as you don't touch them you should be fine.
